Our first week in Australia was a special one. Brisbane is a place where I have been visiting for years now because of my family and friends living their. We were busy every single day and the time flew by. The only thing I wish did more of was take more pictures!
When people generally visit Queensland, they make sure to head to the theme parks, but we skipped them this year because we have already done most of them. Something new and fun to try in Brisbane is the Bli Bli Aqua Park, this is where you can hire a wake board and are towed around their huge lake. They have ladies mornings on Saturdays as well so it’s a little less scary (next time I might partake)
In all honesty, Sydney has never really been a place I have interested in visiting. Thanks to Instagram and all the amazing pictures of Bondi, I was quite intrigued to visit, (after all it’s less then a 3 hour flight home) I have to say- even though I only had 3 days in Sydney and I only saw a quarter of the things I wanted to see, I loved every moment.
The public transport made it so easy to get around and our accommodation was perfectly situated. We had access to everything we needed, with restaurants being a two minute walk away and the supermarket just five minutes walk. We stayed in Potts Point which is quite a hip area, so your always going to find somewhere great to eat. We were extremely close to Kings Cross which may put some people off, but it shouldn’t! Potts Point itself is a great area and we felt safe the whole time.
We stayed at Hotel Challis
Found Amazing Pasta at Fratelli Paradiso
Drank our Daily Coffee from La Buvette
If you are planning on visiting Sydney, these are a few of spots that I can highly recommend (I would also suggest you book the Tall Ships Cruise for a great value-for-money boat trip!
