FASHION OOTD

OOTD; LE WEEKEND

Even though the weather is really warm, I’m still finding that I am always leaning towards my monochrome outfits as opposed to the bright colourful options. Since I was 17 I have always avoided wearing grey. Someone had told me that if you had blonde hair you could never pull of grey clothing, and that it would completely wash you out and make your overall complexion appear dull. For years, I had avoided wearing the shade, and opted for black and white instead.

Grey has gone from being one of my lest worn colours to something I am now wearing almost daily. There is something about a simple grey top that I just adore, and I now realise that grey doesn’t have to wash you out, in fact quite the opposite if you know how to wear it properly.

  • Choose your greys well, making sure they enhance your skin tone.
  • Play with textures, texture shows up so much more in grey then it does in black so take full advantage.
  • Use grey pieces to break up your otherwise all black outfits.
