Three Ways To Relax and Unwind.
I think the majority of us would agree that it’s difficult to know when to put down the tools and to make a little time for ourselves. I know that I am constantly being reminded to take my mind off work. When you love your job, it’s hard to know when to switch off.
The one thing I have to continuously remind myself is that, the world will keep turning whether I am glued to my phone or not. So rather than burning myself out, listen to your body and know when to take a rest. More time spent relaxing will result in better performance tomorrow.
Firstly, I want to point out how important it is to have a “switch off” time. As a internet obsessed blogger, I struggle with this- but I can’t tell you how beneficial it is to switch off at a certain time. This is the time that I get to unwind and I can spend some time with Richard. Also, it allows for a much better refreshed “me” in the morning.
It’s time to put down the laptop and put your feet up! Try and have one whole day a week work free, where you can spend some time on yourself and allowing yourself to relax and unwind for the week. I like to read a good book or get stuck into a good TV series. Ok, TV can be a little mindless- but sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
Treat yourself every now and then to a facial or a massage, you will be amazed at how much tension you could be holding in your shoulders and sometimes it’s nice just to sit back and let someone else pamper you for a few hours. You’ll feel so much more relaxed after.
If your looking for a good movie to watch, here are my favourite movies to unwind too. Disclaimer I am a sucker for teen movies!
1, The Shawshank Redemption 6. A Walk To Remember
2. Jawbreaker 7. Breakfast at Tiffany’s
3. The Perks Of being a Wallflower 8. The Kill Bill Series
4. Dirty Dancing 9. The Green Mile
5. Bridesmaids 10. The Fault in Our Stars
